If you’re going to be stuck in the city on Monday, or—travesty of travesties—actually working, here’s some small comfort: Porzia, the popular Italian restaurant in Parkdale, is having a big food-and-booze blowout. Owner and chef Basilio Pesce is going on summer vacation next month, but first he’s selling off all his stock at discounted prices. On Sunday, June 29, cocktails will be going for the bargain-basement price of $10 (yes, we live in a world where that’s now a deal—at Porzia, they’re normally $12 and up). Then, on June 30, early diners will get free snacks and $8 cocktails (from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.) and late diners will get anything on the menu for $10 flat (after 10 p.m.), instead of the usual $15 to $25. The chicken-liver agnolotti, pictured above, will make your eyelids sweat (in a good way).
