Each day of the 2008 film festival, Toronto Life will introduce one of TIFF’s hot spot restaurants. We inquire about the vibe, the celebs who dine there and, of course, the food. Today’s special: Opus.

The usual suspects: Robert Lantos and pretty ladies.Celebrities in the mix: Apparently Robin Williams has dined here over 15 times. Staffers give thumbs-up to Mrs. Doubtfire’s consistent generosity, sense of humour and overall kindness. Aw, shucks, Mork. Why here and not another venue? Co-owner Mario Amaro says, “We don’t say they do choose us over anyone, we’re just here doing our job.” A modest response, and fitting for the tasteful gem tucked away on Yorkville’s quiet Prince Arthur Avenue. Signature dishes: Foie gras and lamb.

Opus: 37 Prince Arthur Ave. (at Avenue Rd.), 416-921-3105.
