My burger bar Kensington Burger Bar on Augusta serves up delicious stuff. I like the straight-up cheeseburger with bacon, blue cheese and mushrooms. My local lunch Latin American Emporium has the best pupusas—corn tortillas stuffed with meat and cheese, then fried like a pancake and topped with coleslaw and a spicy sauce. My watering hole The low-key Emmet Ray Bar on College is a great place to get the perfect drink—mine’s a gin and tonic or gin cocktail.
My wedding We had it at Woodlot, and the meal was exceptional: whitefish and potato salad, a trofiette/prosciutto pasta, trout with beets, and a strawberry panna cotta. My steak joint Barberian’s on Elm Street makes some really delicious steaks. It’s been there for 50 years, so they obviously know what they’re doing.
