Garden parties generally bring to mind wide-brimmed church hats, Pimms cups and frock coats (also: gardens). In Parkdale-speak, the term means something a little different: namely, a boozy pig roast with 10-20 of your pals. Starting today, taco shop Grand Electric is taking reservations for private parties on its distinctly flora-free patio. For $32 a head, guests can get a summery Mexican meal (chips and guac, ceviche and tacos, plus dessert), or, for a flat sum of $220, an entire baby pig to devour as they see fit. Booze isn’t included, but the sign-up page suggests you could probably sneak in a few bottles without too much hassle, which makes the price tag a pretty good deal—if only for the chance to jump the standard hour-long lineup.
