Little Fin

The Chase Hospitality Group, which owns The Chase and The Chase Fish & Oyster at Yonge and Temperance streets, seems determined to dominate the downtown restaurant scene. Earlier this year, it announced the impending launch of Colette Grand Café and Bakery, a new French restaurant at the Thompson Hotel. Colette isn’t even open yet, but another Chase restaurant is already in the works. Little Fin, which is set to open at 4 Temperance Street, plans to capitalize on a few current food trends, including the city’s ongoing obsession with seafood. The low-key “grab-and-go market” will serve seafood sandwiches, wraps and other fishy dishes (think oyster po’boys and chowders), as well as fresh-squeezed fruit juices and ice-cream floats. The new spot should be open for business this summer—just in time to put its street-side patio to good use.
