The best restaurants in Toronto, as per Deadmau5 and Tom Green

In the latest edition of his YouTube show, Deadmau5 tools around the city with comedian Tom Green, who’s in town for Canadian Music Week. The most interesting part of the video is around the 35-minute mark, when the subject of Toronto restaurants comes up. While Tom Green struggles to remember the name of his favourite beer-and-sausage parlour on King West (presumably Wvrst), Deadmau5 proves that underneath all the fancy trappings—the Nyan Cat-themed Ferrari; the alpha-numeric mononym—he’s really just a simple man with simple tastes. “I always find like three restaurants I really like and then I go to them,” he says, with a casual shrug. Then he lists his picks: The Chase, Weslodge and someplace called “Society,” which we’re pretty sure is La Société in Yorkville. So, you know, just ordinary, regular-guy places.
