This holiday, Torontonians seeking a real tree to trim are invited to pop by Bacardí Holidega, where they can peruse the pines while enjoying a hot toddy, egg nog or other classic cocktail of their choosing.

The first-of-its-kind two-day urban tree lot + rum bar is set to open on King Street West from Monday, December 5th to Tuesday, December 6th. The public is invited to purchase their Christmas trees and enjoy a festive cocktail from the rum bar which will feature delicious, complimentary holiday cocktails created with Bacardí Gran Reserva, perfect for enjoying (and for gifting!)

The Details

What: Bacardí Holidega: A pop-up holiday tree lot + rum bar Where: The Brassaii Terrace located at 461 King Street West When: Monday, December 5, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Cost: Admission is free (must be 19+). Cash only, small trees will be sold for $10 and large trees of $20. All cash proceeds will be donated to Toronto-based food recue and charity, Second Harvest.

Looking to serve inspired cocktails at home this holiday season? Here are a couple recipes to keep you and yours feeling merry this month.

BACARDÍ EGGNOG
Bacardi Eggnog

2 parts BACARDÍ Gran Reserva Maestro de Ron (available at LCBO for $29.95) 3 parts Eggnog 1 part Whole Milk 0.5 parts Simple Syrup 1 pinch of Cinnamon 1 tsp of Vanilla Extract

Method: Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into a rocks glass. Garnish with whipped cream and grated cinnamon.

BACARDÍ HOT TODDY
Bacardi Hot Toddy

2 parts BACARDÍ Gran Reserva 8 Años (available at LCBO for $31.95) 1 part Unfiltered Apple Juice 0.75 parts Cinnamon Syrup 0.5 parts Lemon Juice

Method: Batch all ingredients together, heat up and serve into a coffee mug. Garnish with 2 thin apple slices and cloves.
