Watch the trailer for the upcoming Brian Mulroney opera

A few months ago, we told you about an upcoming satirical opera based on the life of Brian Mulroney. Well, now the trailer for Mulroney: The Opera has surfaced, and it’s a doozy. Keep an eye out for Colin Mochrie as Jean Chrétien, a shopping spree fantasy scene with Stephanie Anne Mills as Mila and Rick Miller as the big chin himself. Oh, and a shot of Trudeau reclining on a couch and singing the tune of Carmen’s “Habanera” to a rose, just because. In a Bollywood turn, some of the voices are supplied by professional opera singers, whose parts are dubbed onto the video. The film, directed by Larry Weinstein, with music by Alexina Louie and libretto by Dan Redican, plays in select theatres on April 16 and 27.
