Smiths bassist Andy Rourke is a blowhard

Rock on, Andy Rourke

The Drake threw the least official—ergo, most fun—opening party last night. Hired to spin can’t-go-wrong songs like “Stuck in the Middle of You” and “Light My Fire” was Mr. Andy Rourke—seems the erstwhile Smiths bassist is paying bills just like your average 22-year-old cool kid who doesn’t feel like having a job.

And allegedly, he’s 22 in his habits, too. Asked by an attendee if there was anything he wanted, Rourke had a single desire: “Blow.”

Well, on one hand: he was in The Smiths, so we’re just happy he’s rocking on. On the other: he was in The Smiths! Shouldn’t he have chosen a more, ahem, interesting drug?
