The Swag Series: Tastemakers Lounge, where celebrities go to feel young again

The Swag Series: Tastemakers Lounge, where celebrities go to feel young again

What it is: Rock-It Promotions has once again teamed with stylist Leesa Butler for the annual TIFF Tastemakers gifting lounge. Moving from their digs at the Bloor Street InterContinental to the Front Street outpost, Tastemakers will be providing visiting celebs (or, more likely, their harried publicists) with a bevy of goods. Find out who is getting what after the jump.

Who goes: Cory Monteith (from that little-known show Glee), Matthew Goode (not the pop-rock star, but the dreamy English actor), Heather Graham and Kathleen Turner (who has had an illustrious career, but we prefer to remember her as Serial Mom) are all expected this year. Last year’s visitors included Ryan Kwanten, Gil Bellows, Abigail Breslin and Jay Baruchel.

What they get: Wescan Optical glasses were popular with Freida Pinto and Geoffrey Rush last year, but this year Tastemakers is hoping to bank on celebrity vanity with Indeed Labs’ Okrapeptide, an anti-aging serum from the folks who debuted the wildly popular Nanoblur last TIFF—perhaps this will put an end to the strong bond between A-lister and plastic surgeon. Anyone looking to keep their kids (or future kids—we’re looking at you, Sarah Polley) occupied will like the games from Mattel, like an updated version of Uno with a mechanical robot (making the game much more futuristic than our simple old card version) or an Angry Birds board game. In a blast from the past, Mavi Jeans are gifting their Mavi Gold line (an upscale line priced reasonably at $135) and, seeing as keeping fit is important even on vacation, stars will love the in-ear headphones from Clarity One—perfect for running on the hotel treadmill (or after an incompetent housekeeper, possibly).
