Sono qui! It’s been 16 years since Snooki, the fist-pumping, pickle-loving, Bumpit-wearing party princess, burst onto the screen as a character on the unscripted MTV reality show Jersey Shore. Since then, she’s appeared on Dancing With the Stars, written several books and had three children, but in 2026, she will return to the small screen in a bizarre new television show about…ghosts.

Snooki: Paranormal Rookie, an eight-episode series recently green-lit by Crave, pairs the pint-size guidette, whose married name is Nicole LaValle, with Grimsby-based psychic medium Kevin Whitaker to explore some of Canada’s most haunted locations. In the final episode, Snooki will venture out on her own to conduct a solo paranormal investigation at an as-yet-unnamed iconic Canadian location.

“I’ve always been obsessed with the paranormal—it’s a real passion of mine,” LaValle said in a press release. “Getting to explore Canada’s haunted history with Kevin and actually learning how to investigate spirits? This is a dream come true. I’m scared, I’m excited, and I’m ready to prove I can do this. The ghosts better watch out because this mawma is coming for them!”

Snooki’s lack of paranormal experience is what makes her perfect for a show like this, according to Justin Stockman, vice-president of content development and programming at Bell Media. “Zero training and 100 per cent passion feels like the perfect recipe for Snooki’s next hit series with us.”

While the overall concept is somewhat bewildering, there’s something compelling about the strangeness of a one-time reality star trading gym, tan and laundry for “ghosts, goblins and gaba-ghouls.” We’ll be watching to see if any haunted cucumbers make an appearance.
