Rogers is seeking high-profile candidates, but it’s not for your typical office job.
To celebrate the Toronto Blue Jays’ 50th season, the team owner is handing over the reins of Canada’s Team to the people who helped build the franchise—the fans.
Rogers is looking for passionate fans to step into the role of Rogers Game Day Owner of the Blue Jays for a day this season and help bring unforgettable energy to Canada’s Team.
This unique job is for the fans who have lived the highs, the heartbreaks, the extra innings and the walk-offs, those who cheered for Joe or jumped for George, the kind of fans who say “we” without thinking.
“Being a Toronto Blue Jays fan isn’t just something I do. It’s part of how I live,” said David T. from Toronto, one of the contest applicants. “From checking scores like it’s a reflex, to debating lineups, to riding every win like we’re heading to the World Series, I bring that full-throttle energy every single game. And if I’m given the chance to be the Rogers Game Day Owner, I’m turning that dial all the way up.”
Think you might also be a good fit for the role?

The company’s job posting on its careers page lists what the ideal candidates for the four remaining one-day contracts look like: a lifelong fan, or at least an extremely committed fan, with strong opinions about the team and the confidence to call themselves “owner” for the day to represent the pride of Blue Jays fans everywhere.
Successful contest applicants can expect a once-in-a-lifetime all-access ownership experience: getting behind-the-scenes access to Rogers Centre, including the clubhouse; watching batting practice with unique pregame on-field and dugout access; pitching team executives with your ideas for the franchise.
But that’s not all. The new hires will meet broadcast personalities and tour Sportsnet studios, sit in on the Blue Jays manager media availability and meet a player, watch the game from premium seats in the new Rogers Terrace and more.
If the successful candidate doesn’t live in Toronto, Rogers will fly them in and put them up at the hotel at Rogers Centre.

The four exclusive Rogers Game Day Owner experiences still remaining on the schedule are set for an ALDS rematch with the New York Yankees on June 13, an AL East matchup on July 20 against the Tampa Bay Rays, an ALCS rematch with the Seattle Mariners on August 28 and the battle of the birds with the Baltimore Orioles on September 12.
If you’ve ever watched a game and thought, “If I owned this team,” this might be your chance.
