Want to be Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz? There’s no place like the CBC

Over the Rainbow, the CBC reality show seeking a Dorothy for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new production of The Wizard of Oz, is holding live auditions in Toronto on June 18. Aspiring Dorothys are asked to prepare the song “Over the Rainbow” and another number of their choice, and the CBC and Temple Street Productions assure us that everyone who comes will get to audition. Tryouts are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Glenn Gould Studios.
