TIFF Teaser: Drive, a movie with a car chase, Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan

Hooking in one young star is, we assume, a guaranteed million dollars in box office sales, but wrangling two pretty young things likely translates to 100 times that (the mathematics we use would be too difficult to explain, so we won’t). Based on the casting alone, Drive is sure to receive a lot of attention at TIFF this year—the film stars Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan, and involves both a car chase (Gosling plays Driver, a mechanic who moonlights as a getaway driver), and a love subplot (Mulligan plays Irene, Driver’s neighbour who is married to an ex-con named Standard). Standard and Driver? If there isn’t a baby named Spark Plug, we’ll be very disappointed.
