Venice vs. TIFF fashion showdown, Kate Hudson edition

Venice vs. TIFF fashion showdown, Kate Hudson edition

Though she’s been the reigning queen of rom-coms for years, Kate Hudson is now making the film festival rounds for her dramatic turn in The Reluctant Fundamentalist. When the movie opened the Venice Film Festival, Hudson sparkled in a champagne-coloured, Swarovski crystal–embellished Atelier Versace gown. That body-hugging outfit had plenty of bling, but we’re also impressed by the clean lines of the ensemble she donned for the TIFF red carpet. Wearing a long-sleeved white dress sounds prim, but the Alexander McQueen gown has loads of va-va-voom despite the extra coverage (and the above-the-knee slit would do Angelina Jolie proud).
