Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams walked the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscars party yesterday, accompanied by his long-time girlfriend, Katelyn Larson, and a little handheld fan.

Williams, who has kept his private life under wraps even as he shot to fame this past year, hard-launched his relationship with Larson in an Instagram post this past Valentine’s Day. This red carpet walk was their first joint appearance in the spotlight.

Maybe it was the pressure of walking the red carpet with his boo for the first time, or maybe it was the 27-degree heat wave sweeping Los Angeles, but Williams seemed in dire need of a cool breeze. Never mind the Balenciaga suit: his buzziest accessory was a handy dollar-store plastic fan. When he stripped down to a see-through mesh top, it must have been a glorious relief.

Such swanky gatherings and designer fashion may not be within the reach of most, but at least the star’s rotating accessory is easy to come by: according to Rolling Stone, this $25 gadget is a dead ringer for Williams’s own. While many may claim to be Williams’s biggest fan, there’s no competition for his smallest.
