Since its inception, Betty has developed a reputation for trusted, regulated and easy-to-use iGaming in the palm of your hand. But this Ontario-based company is making an impact beyond the industry itself. Through giving back to the people and neighbourhoods that support it, Betty is establishing itself as an innovative, community-driven player in the regulated gaming space, where responsible digital play combines fun and entertainment and simultaneously makes a meaningful local impact.

A digital handshake for Northern Ontario

The launch of Betty iBingo is the company’s latest effort in fusing online fun with community involvement, centred around its acquisition of the Kirkland Lake Bingo Hall, a staple of the northeastern Ontario town’s community since 1998. For nearly 30 years, the hall has served as a social hub and a primary “charitable engine” for local non-profits. Betty has committed to keeping the community pillar open while retaining all local staff members and ensuring its continued legacy for years to come.

Betty iBingo brings a fresh twist to a beloved classic—built around a dynamic 5x5 grid that pairs familiar bingo mechanics with iGaming features, and with multiple ways to win. Vibrant visuals, upbeat sound design and colourful animations give the game a lively feel that keeps every spin exciting and unpredictable.

More than a game, Betty iBingo captures the social spirit of traditional bingo while delivering the fast, rewarding pace of modern online play. By linking a Northern Ontario fundraising model with digital gaming, it expands the reach and impact of community giving, directing money to where it matters most.

The “Hose” connection: How digital play powers local giving

The “Hose” Connection model is an AGCO-regulated framework that allows Betty to link its online iGaming operations to its physical ownership of the Kirkland Lake Bingo Hall, automatically funnelling a portion of all digital revenue directly into licensed local charities supporting Northern Ontario.

Traditionally the revenue from the physical hall was the only means of generating charitable funds, but the new “iBingo” model allows Betty to connect its online operations to this framework, meaning that a portion of the revenue generated online is funnelled through the Kirkland Lake and Area Bingo Association and distributed to local licensed charities that support the surrounding community.

Betty is one of only three operators in Ontario that has this specific charitable affiliation for online play. Betty will direct a portion of all its iGaming revenue toward local initiatives, which turns every spin on a slot into a potential contribution to Northern Ontario communities.

The first charitable cheque from Betty’s new iBingo model was presented on May 20, marking the first funding generated for Kirkland Lake-area charities through this approach.
