Not since the Stanley Cup finals of ‘93 have Canadians felt so emboldened by hockey. After years of getting rage-baited with near misses in the playoffs, Canadians finally have a well-deserved win with Heated Rivalry. Since the show aired last November, banana smoothies and “hockey sticks” have been all anyone’s talked about—and for good reason.

Aside from the show itself, Heated Rivalry‘s actors have body-checked pop culture with their quirky personalities, fashion campaigns, podcasts and red carpet appearances. Can you blame us for being a little obsessed?

So imagine our excitement when athleisure brand Province of Canada announced the hottest collab of the season early yesterday morning. That’s right, Heated Rivalry and Province of Canada are teaming up to “release the fleece” with their newest cottage-approved collection.

Like Ilya and Shane’s budding romance, this collaboration felt like destiny. What started as a playful Instagram post and a casual DM to Hanna Puley, Heated Rivalry’s costume designer, led to the most Canadiana collaboration since Timbiebs. Far be it from us to judge the fandom flooding the comment section of every Heated Rivalry–related post—we’re yearning too.

Province of Canada founders Jeremy Watt and Julie Brown pride themselves on manufacturing 100 per cent of their ultra-cozy gear in Canada, which is exactly why Heated Rivalry executive producers Jacob Tierney and Brendan Brady wanted to work with them.

“We’re so excited to partner with Province of Canada—as a Canadian-based, independent apparel brand that does amazing work sourcing and manufacturing high-quality clothing, we share a common ethos,” said Tierney and Brady. “We look forward to bringing it to life with the creativity and care fans expect.”

Release dates and pricing have been hush hush since the announcement, but if you visit Province of Canada’s website, you’ll be able to sign up with your email to get notified as soon as the launch drops. Now, instead of feeling hot and bothered in the boy aquarium, you can enjoy the game wearing a chic fleece jumper—tickets not included.
