Fourteen people, other than Tatiana Maslany, who are feeling emotional about her overdue Emmy win

Struggling actors can learn a lot from Tatiana Maslany’s Emmy win last night: if you work hard, get snubbed at awards shows for several years, and do the work of roughly a dozen people, maybe one day you’ll be recognized for your efforts. Depending on whose Twitter feed you were reading, Maslany’s Outstanding Lead Actress nod for her many roles on Space’s Orphan Black was either proof of Canadian superiority, recognition of the actor’s versatility, or an occasion to discuss our country’s labyrinthine television regulations.

Most seemed to agree on one thing: it was about time for Maslany, who plays more characters on Orphan Black than some TV actors play in their entire careers.

It was also a victory for Canada:

It was such a certifiably Canadian moment that it merited some deep discussion of the CRTC:
