Who could forget Donny Osmond’s stint on TV’s The Love Boat or Marie Osmond’s late-night infomercial appearances selling the hormone-free menopause solution Gem? Well, fans of the Jack and Jill of all trades will be excited to know that on Thursday, July 7, the Osmonds will be performing Donny and Marie Live at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in support of the SickKids Foundation, where 25 per cent of the earnings from the show will support efforts in Toronto. We think it is great that the Osmonds are bringing attention to a noble cause, and we’re happy to add “philanthropists” to their other list of attributes: a little bit country and a little bit rock ’n’ roll.
