Expanding your CanCon horizons just got a major techie boost courtesy of—who else?—Apple. A new app puts more than 1,000 Canadian films from the National Film Board of Canada at iPad users’ fingertips, allowing them to stream or download the films for free. The app was originally unveiled June 30 but has been re-released after working out a few bugs. Some of the titles available include the action flick Wrestling With the Shadows and The Sweater, the animated short based on the classic Québécois tale The Hockey Sweater. But for those looking for a YouTube-style education, there’s also How to Build an Igloo—what Canadian film app would be complete without it?
