Before he discovered drugs, Danny Boyle almost became a priest

But he didn’t! The director went to a religious school and was going to pursue the priesthood, he divulged to George Stroumboulopoulos, until “fun things” like “music, cigarettes, girls, cars, drugs” got in the way.
