ATTENTION: Death from Above 1979 adds another Toronto date

It seems hometown love has turned into ticket demand for Death From Above 1979—the band has added another Toronto show, on Oct. 27 at Sound Academy, to their reunion tour, after selling out their gig on Oct. 28. This news comes after DFA79 played stages at both Osheaga in Montreal and Lollapalooza in Chicago. It’s shaping up to be a pretty impressive comeback tour for Sebastien Grainger and Jesse Keeler, with stops as far away as Japan and as close as our own backyard (but Toronto is the only lucky city with two shows).

Grainger took to the band’s blog back in February to express enthusiasm about the tour: “Jesse and I have decided that what we can do together should not be denied…All of it happening, as it always has, in our own way. Thank you all for sharing in our excitement!” Considering the first Toronto show sold out quickly, we advise DFA79 fans to buy tickets fast if they want to see the heavy-rocking duo perform in their home city.

Tickets are on sale now and available online via ticketweb.ca or in person at Rotate This, Soundscapes and Play De Record.
