Finally. The chipped stars of William Shatner and Gordie Howe on Canada’s Walk of Fame have been replaced. We weren’t the only ones stressing over the less-than-perfect plaques; apparently the city and WOF officials had received hundreds of phone calls about the damaged stars since they were bunged up by a snowplow in 2000. Some callers even offered to pay the replacement costs. No one is more relieved than Shatner, who said, “I wish I could replace my face as easily. My tile has been retiled, and I’m very grateful for that generosity.”
