Councillors dare you to pay more taxes voluntarily

Turns out disrupted sleep schedules and political procrastination might not be the only products of this week’s all-night executive meeting. After several deputants insisted that they would sooner pay higher taxes than see city services cut, councillors asked the city manager to determine whether a “voluntary contribution option” could be appended to property tax forms, according to the Toronto Sun.
