The Toronto Star names the man who tried to hock the Rob Ford crack video

The Rob Ford crack scandal is all but dead. Gawker has given up on buying the video; Ford has replaced all his departed staffers; and the newspapers have moved on. That is, except for the Toronto Star, which is still desperately dredging up new details. Today, the paper revealed that the person trying to sell them the cellphone clip of Ford (allegedly) smoking crack was one Mohamed Siad, an (alleged) drug dealer and gun runner who was arrested in the sweeping Project Traveller raids in north Etobicoke in June. The Star has a few other nuggets as well; namely, that Siad was stabbed in jail, that police searched his home and that he goes by the street name “Soya.” Of course, none of that answers the only question that really matters: did the mayor actually smoke crack?  [Toronto Star]
