The Scene: the best of Anna Dello Russo and Tommy Ton (and some hot guests, too)

Everyone already assumed it would be difficult to compete with Anna Dello Russo at the The Bay’s private launch of When Tommy Met Anna, a exhibit of photos of Russo shot by Tommy Ton. Her many accessories include a signature gold cherry headband, a Jil Sander peplum and a seemingly endless supply of jewels. Many wondered what the guests would wear to impress Ton’s muse, and frankly, we were curious, too. The gathering brought out a vibrant orange Jil Sander maxi skirt with peplum worn by Stacey Kimel, and even Ainsley Kerr strutted into The Room wearing an interesting knit dress that seemed to accentuate her hips in an overstated fashion. The bottom line is that some tried; whether or not they succeeded is a non-issue, because it’s clear that Toronto ladies (and some gents) are looking to claim the title of Toronto’s Dello Russo.
