With this being the Blue Jays’ 50th season, the team has announced a new Hall of Excellence at the Rogers Centre that will pay tribute to the last five decades.

It’ll be constructed in the 100 level behind right field, and is set to open on August 29.
On the same day, Buck Martinez, the beloved longtime broadcaster and a former player and manager who recently announced his retirement, will be inducted to the Hall of Excellence.
“Buck has been one of the defining voices of the Blue Jays, and his passion, integrity, and unwavering commitment to this organization embody everything the Hall of Excellence represents,” Jays president and CEO Mark Shapiro said in a statement.
The team’s home schedule opens on March 27.
