Canadians can be forgiven for thinking this new commercial for Sun News Network is just another Tory election ad. The rest of SNN’s clips can be seen here, but if we’re measuring by sheer density of Rob Ford–ish conservative talking points (seriously, “political correctness”? Is it 1996?) this one’s is by far the strongest. As for comment, we really can’t do better than the Ottawa Citizen’s Dan Gardner, who tweeted, “Every brain-deadening cliché of right-wing faux populism squeezed into 30 seconds. Well done, Sun!”
