SPOTTED: Comedian Dave Chappelle hanging out with Rob Ford

Dave Chappelle, who is in town for three last-minute shows at the Winter Garden Theatre, stopped by city hall today and visited Rob Ford. Ford’s spokesperson Isaac Ransom tweeted this photo of the comedian and the mayor, and told reporters that Chappelle came into Ford’s office inquiring about smoking bylaws (other city staffers reported it was to see whether he was allowed to smoke on stage). Ransom confirmed that Ford did know who Chappelle was, saying, “I think the mayor was excited.” Funny, he doesn’t look that thrilled in the picture. [Twitter]
