They love it. We want it. Three red-hot releases
“Werner Herzog got rare access to film inside the Chauvet Cave in France, the location of some of the earliest known human drawings. His sense of wonder is what elevates Cave of Forgotten Dreams from a documentary about art to art itself. We get his impressions of the site, as well as his meditations on what he is seeing and what he shares with these anonymous artists. If film is our only access to the caves, I’m grateful to have Herzog as our guide.”

“For Beach Boys fans like me, this box set is the Holy Grail. After Pet Sounds, Brian Wilson teamed up with Van Dyke Parks to create SMiLE, which Wilson hoped would be a ‘teenage symphony to God.’ The project was abandoned because of band tensions and Wilson’s deteriorating mental health, making it one of rock’s great lost records. He re-recorded it in 2004, and there are more bootlegs than you can shake a surfboard at, but they don’t compare to the real deal.”
