A failed mayoral bid might be a boon to an MPP campaign, but apparently it’s not enough to land a candidate in office. Mayoral also-ran Sarah Thomson enjoyed a surprising lead in Trinity-Spadina last night before watching it evaporate—along with the Liberals’ hopes for a majority government—as the evening wore on. (Likewise, fellow mayoral candidate Rocco “Bocce Balls” Rossi lost his bid in Eglinton-Lawrence.)
