Ryan Gosling proves that caring about municipal politics is sexy
Under the category “memes that won’t die” are Ryan Gosling macros, which up until now have tackled feminist issues and the long-fought debate of which is hotter: a leading Hollywood star or a puppy. It all began with the original Fuck Yeah Ryan Gosling, and now Toronto has its very own Gosling macros with this weekend’s viral Tumblr account: Toronto Poli Wonk Ryan Gosling. The Goz can be seen talking about the necessity of an LRT line because of crowding on the Finch bus (which he would never take), the gentrification of the Ossington strip and many other important subjects. There are maybe 10 so far and, given how these memes work, there will probably be 30 more by day’s end. Because if anyone can get us interested in municipal politics, it is a shirtless Ryan Gosling telling us he wants to snuggle.
