Rob Ford’s weight loss campaign is officially a downer

Because most diets involve plateaus and a bit of backsliding, making one’s weight loss public—very, very public—often ends in disaster (just ask Oprah). After Rob Ford put on a few pounds yet again this week (he said his weight has gone up three pounds to 311; reporters pegged it at 313), the Globe and Mail called the weekly weigh-ins “depressing,” and even his staffers can’t be bothered to care anymore.
