Rob Ford has a sibling we’ve never heard of who’s “a Muslim,” he says

On Wednesday, the media learned that Rob Ford may, at one point in time, have briefly been contemplated as an assassination target by two men who have since been arrested for allegedly hatching a terrorist plot to derail a VIA train. It took the ex-mayor roughly five seconds to turn this from an occasion for sympathy into one of befuddlement. “What have I done wrong to these people?" he said to reporters. “My dad adopted a Muslim in 1982.” We know quite a bit about the Ford family tree; if there’s an adopted Muslim sibling in there somewhere, the Fords have hidden him or her extremely well. CTV’s Natalie Johnson thinks Ford may have been inaccurately referencing a one-time foster sibling. Either way, it isn’t the first time the Ford clan has made doubtful claims about its religious diversity.
