Rob Ford, resignation-refusal expert, calls on someone else to resign
Nobody in Toronto politics has ignored more requests to resign than Rob Ford, but that hasn’t stopped him from making the same demand of another public servant. At a press conference yesterday, Ford called on Waterfront Toronto CEO John Campbell to step aside over his organization’s spending, which has included nearly $1 million on furniture for Sugar Beach and around $600,000 for a washroom at Cherry Beach. (Waterfront Toronto has provided detailed explanations of both of those spending decisions, and they seem legit.) The irony of Ford advocating punishment for a public official who hasn’t, like him, been shown to have abused the public trust in almost every way short of outright theft or murder, has seemingly been lost on nobody. Even so, Campbell played it cool during an interview this morning with CBC’s Matt Galloway. “To a certain degree this comes with the territory,” he said.

Mayor Rob Ford had a seat at Waterfront Toronto. How many board meetings did he even attend? Zero?
Rob, maybe you should consider with ALL the trouble you have gotten into, ALL the questions you have refused to answer, ALL of farces you have played in; maybe you should consider just how much money you have cost your precious taxpayer(s) and give us all a refund.

Always love the richness of these sorts of things – the “Mayor”, who’s almost been removed from office for a conflict of interest, who’s been stripped of almost all powers due to general incompetence, inappropriateness and disgraceful behavior, who’s admitted to buying & smoking crack cocaine, being drunk on the job and even driving drunk, who’s under an ongoing police investigation, who has proven to be completely untrustworthy, has refused to take responsibility for anything and is a chronic liar, is asking for someone else to resign?? Wow!
