VIDEO: American political ad proves that Rob Ford is now shorthand for “despised politician”

Rob Ford has become more than just a late-night punchline—he’s now the prevailing symbol of a politician at his worst. The proof: this new attack ad for New York Republican congressional candidate George Demos, which asks viewers if they’re “tired of politicians” while flashing an image of Ford along with a sullen-faced Barack Obama and Demos’s opponent Tim Bishop (this is the opposite message the Ford is touting—that he is the anti-politician politician). Sadly, it’s not even the first time this week that an American official has used Toronto as a chilling cautionary tale. New York>
