Rob Ford and Karen Stintz agree to keep city councillors in control of the TTC board

Backstabbing rogue councillor TTC chair Karen Stintz and Rob Ford have reportedly reached a compromise on the composition of the TTC board, which currently consists of nine city councillors. Ford has long wanted to reconfigure the group, and council’s executive committee recently voted to change it to comprise five citizen members and four councillors. Now, however, it appears Stintz and Ford have agreed on a board composed of six councillors and five citizens—in other words, elected officials at city hall will still hold the balance of power.
