Rob Ford has found someone to fill in as his chief of staff when Amir Remtulla leaves at the end of the week. Earl Provost, Ford’s director of stakeholder and council relations, was announced as acting chief of staff yesterday. He’s a rare breed, being both a Liberal and a staunch Ford fan (and is an “affable” guy, according to the Toronto Star). Though there are a few other options for the permanent job, Provost is reportedly lobbying hard to keep the position. [Toronto Star]
