I don’t care about the weigh-in. I’m not even dieting anymore.

Rob Ford officially quit the “Cut the Waist” challenge on his Newstalk 1010 radio show yesterday, three weeks early and over 30 pounds away from his goal. Back in January, Rob and Doug Ford publicly pledged to lose 50 pounds each in a PR stunt that got sadder and sadder, to the point where the mayor was no longer showing up (though lettuce-clad People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals did make a notable appearance). The pun-filled ploy was supposed to raise money for charity, so calling it off early is sad news for “Lieberries For All” and the “Kids Deserve Gravy Foundation” (and some real charities, too). [National Post]
