Note to Kensington Market’s young condo dwellers: hide your pugs and Boston terriers. Or actually, don’t bother. The tiger shown lounging on Kensington Avenue in the image above was just a temporary visitor, brought to the neighbourhood in the pre-dawn hours this morning so it could appear in a music video for Toronto rapper Tasha the Amazon (who must be enjoying the associated publicity). This is most definitely not even close to the weirdest thing that has happened in Kensington on a Wednesday night, but it makes a nice footnote to the neighbourhood’s lore. No word on whether the tiger enjoyed a nice Sanagan’s steak after the shoot was over.
