Mike Del Grande isn’t resigning—he just wants to give up his job and be replaced soon

The budget chief’s hands may be “shot” from all the typing he does every day, but apparently he isn’t resigning (or at least, he isn’t resigning yet). Following the budget debate earlier this week, there was much speculation that Mike Del Grande was going to quit his current post. Although he denied he was ready to step down, he also said he would rather be a regular councillor; and though the mayor can replace him in October, Del Grande says if that’s going to happen he thinks it should happen before then. So, basically he’s not going to quit—he’s just going to whine and complain and passive-aggressively make it known that he doesn’t really want to do his job, instead.
