We have some bad news for anyone who likes to be warm or happy: at least one meteorologist is saying that Torontonians can pretty much forget about putting away their heavy coats until April.
Speaking to the Star about this year’s lousy Smarch weather, the Weather Network’s Dayna Vettese said that because of the winter’s colder-than-usual temperatures, the arrival of life-giving warmth will be slower than normal this year. “The abundance of snow that we had this winter is helping to delay the onset of spring,” she said. Winter weather is expected to persist through the rest of March, at least. As long as there are no more ice storms, we’ll be able to cope.
