Lighting up the Bloor viaduct’s “luminous veil” will cost more than anyone thought
—Estimated cost of outfitting the Prince Edward Viaduct’s “luminous veil” with its long-awaited lighting system in time for Toronto’s 2015 Pan Am Games, according to the Globe. The project, originally estimated at $1.8 million, is one of several Pan Am ventures that are in the process of blowing their budgets.
This amount of waste in Toronto, Ontairo?
Never change.
Spectacular public art is “waste”?
Many people would disagree with you (although rightly bothered by the huge cost overrun/understated budget amount.)
I love public art.
I don’t love something in for over twice it’s original budget.
That, my friend, is typical Ontario at work.
