John Tory upgraded his 2014 mayoral ambitions from “never say never” to “thinking about it” in an interview yesterday. The radio host and former Ontario Progressive Conservative leader said that urging from supporters has him considering a run and his desire to lead the city hasn’t abated since he first ran for mayor a decade ago. That said, Tory has yet to assemble a team or even seriously discuss the idea with his wife. He also said he would likely opt out if the mix of candidates significantly slimmed his chance of winning. Or, we imagine, if the longtime Rogers director got offered some sort of fancy executive job. [Newstalk 1010]
