I still have a crush on Kate Fenner

A tip of the hat to fellow bloggers torontoist.com for dredging up a favourite memory of my early twenties with a look back at the seminal 1992 Bourbon Tabernacle Choir album Superior Cackling Hen. I actually won the CD in a draw at one of their live shows in Montreal before I even owned a CD player.

I remember that show because it was a Thursday night and there were maybe 20 of us in the crowd at Café Campus. I never missed a show they played in Montreal, and was increasingly disappointed when their popularity soared and they played ever larger venues. I still have my copy of the disc, which according to torontoist is increasingly hard to find. I found it for sale here. Buy now! Supply is limited!
