How rocky is Giorgio Mammoliti‘s campaign for mayor? He can’t even get the other candidates to make fun of him—he has to do it himself. Mammoliti has released some new ads, one of which literally instructs voters on how to pronounce his name. Reports the Post:

The ad cuts to a bunch of people who struggle to get it right.

Geeeorgio? Mamolotti? Maloti?

“You haven’t got it right yet,” he says, shaking his head lightly. “It’s Giorgio Mammoliti for Mayor.”

Now, councillor, don’t be a pedant. There are a number of different ways to pronounce your name accurately, such as “Rounding Error,” “Also-Ran” and “Prefers London.” We would, however, counsel you to avoid the use of the words “by George” in the future, because that will probably just end up helping what’s-his-name.
