First Addison Barger had to sleep on a pull-out couch during the World Series, and now we’re seeing that two other beloved Blue Jays, George Springer and Ernie Clement, were booted from their seats at last night’s Maple Leafs game.

Can we come together as a city and offer these men somewhere nice to sleep and/or sit?!
We’re only kidding of course, as Springer and Clement were simply escorted by an usher to the correct seats nearby. In a now-viral video posted by Sportsnet, they seemed to not complain about the minor relocation as they shuffled by other patrons to sit where they were supposed to.
In the comments, some joked that they were trying to sneak a better view of the game. “They really did what we all do and grabbed better seats until they were kicked out of them,” said one fan.
We hope they enjoyed it, because soon it will be baseball season and they’ll need to go to bed early—in a real bed, not on a pull-out couch.
To prepare for tomorrow’s home opener, we suggest reading this sweet letter to Jays’ fans that Clement shared today.
