Frank Gehry vs. Donald Trump: a tale of two towers
Frank Gehry, Toronto’s starriest of starchitects, is in a pissing contest with Donald Trump over tower size. (Insert phallus joke here.) Gehry’s Beekman Tower has overtaken Trump World Tower for the title of tallest (and perhaps most expensive) residential building in New York, which has really stuck in Trump’s craw. The real estate developer has taken to insulting Gehry’s work and speculating on the success of Beekman Tower sales. Gehry says Trump’s still sore after he declined to work on a project with the developer, then added, “I don’t like his hairdo, anyway.” The Donald’s retort: “I just don’t find him interesting.” C’mon, guys. We know you can do better than that.

Why does toronto have to be so crude and howi is this of interest to Toronto.
Cause this is Toronto Life and they must give us something to comment on. Because Gehry is CANADIAN. The Donald is the world biggest self made asshole, with bland buildings and so Gaudy with all those stupid gold railings etc in his buildings. No comparison. Frank, we love you!
My god, look at the beauty of the Beekman, and look at the sorry excuse of a tower the Trump is.. man, architecture these days.
(But to be fair, the Trump isn’t that bad.)
