Councillor Pam McConnell gets into TTC fare dispute, handles incident like an adult

The eagle-eyed Toronto Sun devoted a 300-word news story to the following sequence of events that occurred last weekend: (1) Pam McConnell boards a streetcar; (2) McConnell attempts to cover her fare with her city-issued pass; (3) the driver doesn’t recognize the pass and radios for help; (4) confusion ensues and McConnell asks the driver to radio again, but the driver warns her there could be trouble; (5) not wanting to cause a delay, McConnell decides to just pay the fare and deal with the issue later. Busted, McConnell! (Of course, for what, we’re not sure). But, hey, at least a city councillor is taking on the TTC. Read the entire story [Toronto Sun] »
